Dallas qualifies in two sections as she was born before 1985.   Dallas’s dam Dorli was imported from Tyrol in 1972.  Dorli’s sire Stoss is a grandson of 128 Stromer, a son of Student the founder of the ST Line. He is also grandson of 1367/liz Sturmer founder of the M Line.  Stormer, Dallas’s sire, was imported in 1969 for the Wrekin Stud and has a considerable influence on the British Stud Book.

Dallas’s story
Dallas joined our family nearly 26 years ago and will remain with us until the end of her days.  Dallas started her competitive career with our then 11 year old son. They went to Pony Club together and attended camp the following year after being promised by the DC that they would be perfectly alright and not allowed out without supervision.  However not wanting to be left out on a ride around Aintree racecourse he was taken with the older members, when they started to canter Dallas (and Paul) thought this was whizz and set off at a nifty gallop, they where halfway round the course by the time the rest caught up!

Dallas spent some time down in Bedford with Lesley Brown at the Stagsden Stud and produced three foals 1 colt and 2 fillies the youngest of these Stagsden Damask is at home with us.  Damask is a bold versatile horse like Dallas and is good with novice and more experienced riders.
Dallas has taught many children to ride over the years and has spent time in Wales.  Dallas spent several years in Wales where she taught complete beginners and novice riders the rudiments of riding.  She also competed with the welsh youngsters being successful and reliable.   Although she returned to Lancashire several years ago, the children and young riders remember her with extreme fondness and keep wondering when she and Damask will be back!
Showing wise at the Breed Show she has had a second in the open mare class and the veteran class has won the Junior WHP Handy Pony RDA Pairs Jumping been second in the Open Jumping.
She has competed in the Lloyds Bank RDA classes and has never failed to get her £5 prize money for coming up to the required standard.
She has qualified for and attended the North West Championships in the Veteran In Hand class twice the last time when she was 26.
She has also competed with three generations of the same family and this year is being ridden by our 7 year old grandson - who rides her round the farm off the lead rein and our 10 year old granddaughter who will be show jumping with her. Dallas may now be 29 years old but she can still enjoy life with her riders.
